Zainab Giwa

Zainab Giwa is currently the Director of Operations at The Learning Community Charter School since August 2023. Previously, Zainab served as an Impact Manager at City Year from August 2018 to July 2023 and as a Constituent Representative for the City of Providence between September 2016 and August 2018. Zainab's experience also includes roles at NeighborWorks America as an AmeriCorps VISTA Leader, overseeing workshops for VISTA members, and at NeighborWorks Umpqua as a Resident Services AmeriCorps VISTA, where educational programs were coordinated for low-income housing communities. Zainab's earlier positions span customer service at Amica Mutual Insurance and various assistant roles at Eastern Connecticut State University and United Way. Zainab holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from Eastern Connecticut State University and a Certificate in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from the Jonathan M. Tisch School of Civic Life at Tufts University.
