Chris McMurray has worked in various roles in the education and marketing fields since 1998. Chris began their career as the Director of Marketing and Business Development at SilverPlume in 1998, followed by a role as Marketing Director at Assets for Colorado Youth in 2001. From 2006 to 2015, McMurray worked at the Parkrose School District, holding roles such as Student Achievement Specialist, Elementary Principal, Instructional Coach, and Teacher. During this time, they also worked as a Staff Developer at the AVID Center. In 2015, McMurray took on the role of Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning at Evergreen Public Schools. Most recently, they have been working as a Freelance Innovator, Techlearnologist, and Seer-of-What-Could-Be since 2019. In 2022, McMurray will become the Chief Academic Officer at the Learning Counsel.
Chris McMurray obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Advertising/Graphic Design from Sam Houston State University between 1986 and 1991. Chris then went on to earn a Master of Arts (MA) in Education and Teaching from The University of Portland in 2006. In 2012 and 2013, they attended Concordia University-Portland to pursue a degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General.
