Julia McNally

Attorney-in-charge at The Legal Aid Society

Julia McNally is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in civil legal services, currently serving as Attorney-in-Charge at The Legal Aid Society since June 2010. In this role, Julia leads a team of over 60 staff members to provide comprehensive services to residents of Queens, encompassing areas such as tenant defense and family law. Previously, Julia held positions within the organization as Housing Director and Supervising Attorney, contributing significantly to practice advisories and the rollout of new initiatives. Additionally, Julia is an Adjunct Professor at New York University School of Law, co-teaching a clinic on landlord-tenant law. Julia also founded Pathways Togo, a nonprofit organization focused on empowering young women through education and community development, and served in the Peace Corps where Julia implemented a public health initiative. Julia earned a JD from NYU Law and a BA in Theater and English from Middlebury College.
