Ambassador And Student Advocate at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Hailey Kim is currently a Research Fellow at The Lundquist Institute for Biomedical Innovation at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where research focuses on the impact of Metformin on insulin-induced lipid synthesis in human mammary epithelial cells and the influence of maternal metabolic conditions on milk composition during lactation. As a Research Intern at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Hailey served as an Ambassador and Fundraising Leader, successfully raising over $50,000 for leukemia research and earning the Hero Award for outstanding contributions. In leadership roles, Hailey has been the President of the National Charity League, Inc., overseeing a board and class while facilitating chapter activities. Additionally, experience as an Innovator at The Knowledge Society involved creating innovative solutions to real-world challenges, and a brief internship at Science Laboratories of Practical Education contributed to practical bio-lab skills. Currently enrolled at Palos Verdes High School, expected to graduate in June 2025.
