Guy Calderon Cooper

Guy Calderon Cooper serves as President of GCC Therapy Services and Altura Counseling and Wellness, LLC, and has extensive experience in mental health counseling, including roles as a Group Facilitator at The Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada and a Contributing Writer for QVEGAS Magazine. In addition, Guy Calderon Cooper has been an Adjunct Professor at the College of Southern Nevada and previously held positions as Clinical Director at Beacon Pointe NV, LLC, and CEO at Infinity Counseling Services. Guy Calderon Cooper's professional background includes outpatient mental health and substance abuse therapy, as well as work in community corrections settings. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Southwest, a Doctor of Divinity, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Religion/Religious Studies from Universal Life Seminary and Universal Life Church Seminary, respectively.

The LGBTQ Center of Southern Nevada

The Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada ("The Center"​), a community-based 501(c)3 organization, supports and promotes activities directed at furthering the well-being, positive image, and human rights of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community, its allies, and low to moderate income residents in Southern Nevada. The Center has offered a plethora of programs and services since 1993, including but not limited to: social and discussion groups for youth, gay and bisexual men, transgender people and their loved-ones, seniors and lesbians; HIV and STI counseling, testing and prevention education; free vaccinations; computer and internet access; civil rights advocacy; addiction and recovery counseling; youth and senior drop-in hours; educational workshops; and referrals to culturally competent community organizations – all free of charge. Furthermore, The Center provides meeting space for approximately 130 local LGBTQ groups and organizations and serves over 87,000 people annually.
