Melissa Betts serves as the Executive Director at The Link of Cullman County since February 2020, and previously held the position of Director of Community Development. As the Founder of Knapsacks for Kids & ALAbundant, Melissa established backpack feeding programs across Cullman County, successfully launching ten programs from 2011 to 2015, benefiting all eight high school districts. Prior experience includes serving as the Director of Children & Serve Ministries at First United Methodist Church of Cullman AL from October 2009 to February 2020, and as the Director of Children's Ministries at Liberty Crossings UMC from April 2007 to October 2009. Melissa earned a Bachelor’s degree in Human Environmental Science with a focus in Interior Design from The University of Alabama from 1992 to 1996.
