Jeevan Patil

Jeevan Patil has a comprehensive work experience in the technology industry. Jeevan has held various positions in reputable companies such as Linksys, Extreme Networks, Cisco Meraki, Cisco Systems, and Mahindra British Telecom.

Starting in 1997, Jeevan worked as a Software Engineer at Mahindra British Telecom for a year before moving to Cisco Systems in 2000, where they also worked as a Software Engineer. At Cisco Systems, they contributed to the development of the Wireless LAN Solution Engine.

In 2005, Jeevan transitioned to the role of Senior Product Line Manager at Cisco, where they led the definition and strategy for multiple Access Point products, including the award-winning AP3600. Jeevan played a significant role in driving the next generation wireless technology strategy and introducing enterprise 802.11n APs to the market.

Jeevan continued their career at Cisco Systems as a Senior Manager and Director of Wireless Product Portfolio, managing and refreshing the wireless LAN Controller portfolio. Jeevan led the introduction of several new controllers and implemented a successful bundling and pricing strategy with the 2504 series. Jeevan also played a key role in driving the adoption of Cisco differentiators and standards within the product line.

In 2017, Jeevan joined Cisco Meraki as the Head of Product Marketing, where they successfully launched products in the cloud-managed IT/OT space. Jeevan led the product management for wireless platforms, including the introduction of Wi-Fi 6 Access Points and high-density initiatives.

From 2020 to 2023, Jeevan served as the Senior Director of Product Management at Extreme Networks, where they developed an AIOps software package called CoPilot. This software generated per site baselines and anomalies using Explainable AI.

Currently, Jeevan holds the position of Vice President of Product Management and User Experience at Linksys, starting in 2023.

Jeevan Patil holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing and General Management from Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business, which they obtained from 2004 to 2007. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Engineering at Wayne State University from 1998 to 2000. Jeevan also completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electronics Engineering from the University of Mumbai between 1993 and 1997.

In addition to their formal education, Jeevan Patil has obtained several certifications. Jeevan completed the "Data Science on Cloud with AWS" certification from Great Learning in April 2023. In August 2022, they received the certification for "Data Strategy: Leveraging Data as a Competitive Advantage" from Emeritus. Jeevan acquired the "Data Science and Machine Learning" certification from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in February 2022. In July 2021, they became "Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals" through Microsoft. Jeevan obtained the "AI For Everyone" certification from Coursera in May 2021. Lastly, they achieved the "AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner" certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in October 2020.
