Eileen Evans is the Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Micro Focus, where she leads and manages a team of 60-65 senior attorneys and professionals in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. She also serves on the Micro Focus Government Solutions Board of Directors.
Eileen was recently recognized as one of Silicon Valley Business Journal’s top 100 Women of Influence. In addition, Inside Counsel named her to its “R3-100 roundup,” a list of 100 women who will likely be ready to become General Counsel in the Fortune 500 in the near term.
In addition to her work on The Linux Foundation Board of Directors, Eileen represented HP, and then HPE, on the OpenStack Foundation Board of Directors from 2012 through 2017.
Prior to joining Micro Focus through its merger with HPE Software, Eileen operated and served as the Vice President and General Counsel of HPE Software, where she led and managed a team of 60-65 senior attorneys and professionals in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Eileen was responsible for leading and managing all aspects of worldwide legal support for HPE Software, including legal support for Commercial Transactions, Intellectual Property, Litigation, Investigations, Compliance, and Corporate matters.
She also served as the Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Software, Cloud and Open Source at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. In her role, Ms. Evans led and managed 75-90 senior technology attorneys and professionals responsible for providing legal support for HPE Software, HPE Cloud, and HPE’s open source activities.
Prior to joining HP/HPE in 2010, Eileen was a Director and Associate General Counsel at Sun Microsystems, and then Oracle Corporation following its acquisition of Sun.
