Richard Purdie

Richard Purdie is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in open-source software and embedded systems. Since December 2010, Richard has served as a Fellow at The Linux Foundation and has been the Architect for the Yocto Project since October 2010. As a Core Developer for OpenEmbedded since 2004, Richard has played a pivotal role in advancing embedded Linux technologies. Prior to these roles, Richard held positions at Intel Corporation as a Principal Engineer and Embedded Linux Architect from August 2008 to May 2018, and worked as a Software Engineer at Openedhand from February 2005 to August 2008. Richard holds an MSci degree in Physics from Durham University, obtained in 2003.
