Melissa Konkol

Melissa Konkol, PhD has extensive work experience in the field of scientific research and medical writing. Melissa currently holds the position of Senior Scientific Director - Team Lead at Lockwood since July 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Scientific Director at Lockwood from January 2022 to July 2023, and as a Scientific Director from February 2020 to January 2022. Melissa also worked as a Senior Associate Scientific Director at Lockwood from October 2018 to February 2020.

Before joining Lockwood, Dr. Konkol worked at Avant Healthcare, where they held the position of Associate Medical Director from April 2018 to October 2018. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Medical Writer from May 2016 to April 2018, and as a Medical Writer from August 2015 to May 2016.

Dr. Konkol also has experience in academia, having worked at Indiana University Bloomington. Melissa served as an Adjunct Faculty - Lecturer from May 2014 to August 2015, as a Research Associate from August 2008 to May 2014, and as an Assistant Instructor from August 2011 to December 2013.

Melissa Konkol, PhD began their education in 2004 at Hanover College, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biology. Melissa completed their undergraduate studies in 2008. Subsequently, Melissa enrolled at Indiana University Bloomington in 2008 and successfully completed their doctorate in Microbiology in 2014.
