Andy Bird

Andy Bird has a diverse work experience in the field of healthcare technology. Andy started their career as an IT Trainer at Kingston Hospital in 2004 and later worked as an IT Project Support Officer at the same hospital from 2007-2008. Andy then served as a Web and Integration Engineer at Kingston Hospital in 2008-2009.

In 2010, Andy joined Catholic Health Initiatives as an Integration Developer. Andy developed and tested various interfaces, including FTP, HL7 TCP/IP, JSON and XML webservice based interfaces, and Database interfaces. Some of these interfaces were highly complex. Andy continued working in this role until 2016.

From 2016 to 2019, Andy worked at Melodon Healthcare Technologies as an Integration Engineer. Andy developed the backend for a patient-facing app using Docker Swarm and AWS technologies. This involved tasks such as database design and development, Docker configuration and deployment, and API development. Andy utilized various technologies such as PostgreSQL, Linux, Docker, Git, Traefik, Apache, PHP, and AWS.

Most recently, Andy joined The London Clinic in 2019 as an Integration Lead. No specific end date is provided, indicating that they are currently working in this role.

Andy Bird studied Music Technology at Kingston University from 1999 to 2002, earning a BMus degree.
