Alonzo Butts CIOS , CSIS

Alonzo Butts has a comprehensive work experience in the IT industry. Alonzo started their career as a Service Technician at Dynamic Network Solutions, working at the Kipp DC Shaw Campus from July 2015 to July 2016 and at the Kipp DC Douglass Campus from July 2016 to September 2017.

Alonzo then moved on to Nauticon Office Solutions, where they worked as a Solutions Engineer from September 2017 to February 2020. In this role, they served as the primary onsite support for 70+ clients, providing first-time onboarding, workstation and phone deployments, and network upgrades. Alonzo also configured and managed on-premise servers, hosted servers, hypervisors, and firewalls.

From March 2020 to May 2021, Alonzo worked as a Senior Network Consultant at Shipshape IT, LLC. After that, they joined The Longleaf Network in February 2022 as an L2 Project Engineer. In this role, they provide project support for over 100 clients, including onboarding new clients, installing and configuring network hardware and software, migrating clients to cloud services, and performing Office 365 administration with PowerShell scripting.

Throughout their career, Alonzo has gained expertise in network services, equipment, and devices, as well as server configuration, firewall management, and client support.

Alonzo Butts has a strong education background in computer networking and information technology. Alonzo obtained a Computer Networking Undergraduate Certificate from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2021, with a focus on System, Networking, and LAN/WAN Management/Manager. Prior to that, in 2015, they completed Network+ Prep at Prince George's Community College and obtained an A+ Certification from Per Scholas, specializing in Information Technology.

In addition to their formal education, Alonzo Butts has also earned several certifications to enhance their technical skills. Alonzo obtained the CompTIA Secure Infrastructure Specialist – CSIS Stackable Certification and the CompTIA Security+ ce Certification in April 2021. In 2018, they obtained the CompTIA IT Operations Specialist – CIOS Stackable Certification and Network+ ce certification. Their first certification was the CompTIA A+ ce, which they obtained in June 2015 from CompTIA.
