Gary B. Hawkins Sr. possesses extensive experience in community health education and employment services, currently serving as a Lay Health Educator at the Sickle Cell Foundation of Palm Beach County & Treasure Coast since November 2016 and as an Employment Specialist at The Lord's Place since April 2015. Responsibilities include curriculum delivery for the Job Ready Program and supervising teacher assistants, successfully enrolling 21 inmates and graduating 18. Previous roles include Lay Health Educator with the Community Voice Program, Program Specialist at the Urban League of Palm Beach County, and various senior positions with Workforce Alliance, where contributions involved case management, program development, and operational leadership. Gary B. Hawkins Sr. is equipped with a robust skill set in training, technology utilization in educational settings, and proficient knowledge in job search skills and resume development. Educational background includes studies at Tennessee Technological University and graduation from Palm Beach Gardens High School.

Mission: The Lord's Place is dedicated to breaking the cycle of homelessness by providing innovative, compassionate and effective services to men, women, and children in our community. Company Overview The Lord’s Place is committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness with programs and services that include: • Engagement Our Engagement Center is the recognized point-of-entry facility for the homeless in our community. The program focuses on activities which build trusting relationships and encourage participants to explore making behavioral change. • Supportive Housing Our supportive housing model gives our clients the time they need to address the issues that led to their homelessness and gives them the tools needed to break the cycle of homelessness. • Job Training & Placement Our Job Training and Placement Program addresses the need for homeless men and women to regain economic self-sufficiency. The program assists clients in finding and maintaining employment by offering job training, placement and education programs.
