Ruby Smith, M.J. has extensive experience in executive and managerial roles, primarily in the healthcare and legal sectors. Ruby joined Loretto Hospital in 1997 as Vice President of Human Resources & Compliance, where they oversaw the hospital's corporate compliance program and managed the human resources operation, including providing expertise to department heads and labor union management. In 2012, they became the Chief Operating Officer of Legal Aid Chicago, responsible for implementing strategies and processes to enhance operational efficiency and accountability across various administrative functions. Ruby'sachievements include reorganizing departments, optimizing benefit offerings, and introducing a performance management program aligned with the agency's strategic plan. Most recently, they joined Loretto Hospital as the Executive Vice President, Chief HR, and Compliance Officer in 2022.

Ruby Smith, M.J. (she/her) has pursued education in various fields throughout their academic journey. Ruby completed the Diversity and Inclusion for HR Certificate from Cornell University in 2021.
