Scott Penberthy

Scott Penberthy is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and digital transformation. Currently serving as Senior Director of Applied AI in the Office of the CTO at Google, Scott leads a team focused on helping customers derive significant value from AI through engineering and product management. Previously, Scott was a member of the Board of Advisors at CapitalG, where guidance was provided on AI and cloud strategies. As Managing Director of Technology at PwC, Scott initiated a major digital transformation and advocated for cloud computing adoption. Earlier career highlights include serving as Startup CTO at Photobucket, where a video and image computing platform was developed for millions of users, and as Vice President of Technology at IBM, where IBM's first web browser was created. Scott holds dual degrees in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Washington.
