John V K has a diverse work experience in scientific research and leadership roles. John V has worked at GNS Science since 2001, beginning as a Scientist and progressing to Senior Scientist, Principal Scientist, and Science Leader. John V also served as Team Leader and Programme Director for the Aotearoa: Green Hydrogen Technology Platform. In 2013, they joined NZ Product Accelerator and The MacDiarmid Institute as a Principal Investigator. Prior to that, John worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Centre national de la recherche scientifique and Université de Namur. John V also served as a Visiting Scientist at Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) in 1998.

John V K has an impressive education history. John V obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Physical Sciences from the University of Calicut from 1995 to 1999. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science - MS degree in Physics at Loyola College from 1991 to 1993. John V also completed a Bachelor of Science - BS degree in Physics at Alagappa Government Arts College, Karaikudi from 1987 to 1990.
