Jan Vystrcil

Jan Vystrcil has a strong background in research and development, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). Jan currently holds the position of Principal R&D Engineer at TELMA AI, where they have been working since 2022. Prior to that, they also held the same position at The MAMA AI, starting in 2021.

Jan Vystrcil's previous experience includes working at IBM Research as a Research Scientist. Jan worked on Watson Dialog R&D from February 2015 to March 2021, and earlier in their career, they held the role of Research Scientist at IBM Research from April 2012 to January 2015.

Before joining IBM Research, Jan Vystrcil worked as a Researcher at the Czech Technical University in Prague, specifically in the Department of Computer Graphics and Interaction. During their time there from October 2008 to April 2012, they focused on research and development of accessible applications for visually impaired users, as well as the development of the navigation application NaviTerier. Jan also participated in European projects AEGIS and ACCESSIBLE.

Additionally, Jan Vystrcil was involved in the ÆGIS project, where they worked on Open Accessibility Everywhere, Groundwork, Infrastructure, and Standards from September 2008 to April 2012.

Jan Vystrcil earned a Master's Degree (Ing.) in Computer Science from Czech Technical University in Prague between 2001 and 2008. Jan also obtained additional certifications, including "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization" and "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" from Coursera in 2018, as well as the "First Certificate in English (FCE)" from the University of Cambridge in 2010.
