Shengxiao Yu (Sole)

Sole Yu has a diverse and extensive work experience. They founded Nectar in 2021, where they work as a Founder and Social Justice Educator with a focus on transformative justice principles. They have also worked at organizations such as The Management Center and Paridad Education Consulting as a Project Director and Social Justice Educator respectively. Additionally, Sole co-founded AARISE for AAPIs in 2020, serving as a Co-Founder and Co-Facilitator, and worked at GlobeMed as the Director of Partnerships. They have also held positions as a Paralegal at the National Immigrant Justice Center and contributed as a Writer at Sense & Sustainability. Other roles include Consultant and Philanthropy Program Designer at Bodhi Surf School, Economic Development Specialist at Fundación CRUSA, and Project Manager at the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights.

Shengxiao "Sole" Yu holds a BA degree in Comparative Human Development and Human Rights from the University of Chicago.
