Steve Martin

Steve Martin has extensive experience in human resources, with a focus on the hospitality industry. Steve is currently serving as the Chief Human Resources Officer for the Marcus Corporation and Marcus Hotels & Resorts. Prior to this, they held the role of Vice President of Human Resources at Marcus Hotels & Resorts, where they oversaw strategic HR initiatives for a division with over 3600 associates. Steve also served as Assistant Corporate Director of HR for The Marcus Corporation, providing operational and strategic support to both Marcus Hotels & Resorts and Marcus Theatres.

Earlier in their career, Steve worked as the Benefits and HRIS Director at The Marcus Corporation, managing benefits and HRIS administration for the company. Steve also served as the Director of Human Resources for the Hilton Milwaukee City Center. Steve's experience also includes roles at Baymont Inn & Suites Division of Marcus Corporation, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Hyatt Regency Chicago, and Park Hyatt Chicago, where they held various HR management positions. Overall, Steve Martin has a strong background in human resources, particularly in the hospitality industry, and has held leadership roles in HR strategy and operations.

Steve Martin attended Iowa State University from 1983 to 1988, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel, Restaurant & Institution Management. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in October 2020 and SHRM-SCP from the SHRM Certification in September 2015.
