Ese Olumhense

Ese Olumhense is an experienced investigative reporter currently working at The Markup since July 2023. In addition to this role, Ese serves as an adjunct assistant professor at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism since 2019. Prior to The Markup, Ese reported for Reveal from The Center for Investigative Reporting and Spotlight PA. Notably, Ese has also contributed to THE CITY and the Chicago Tribune. A former Ida B. Wells Fellow at The Investigative Fund at the Nation Institute, Ese focused on New York City’s public housing system. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in English, Rhetoric, and Global Culture from Binghamton University and a Master of Science in Journalism from Columbia University.
