The Maryland Zoo
Elisabeth Hardin is an experienced zookeeper with a strong background in animal care and husbandry. Currently serving as a zookeeper at The Maryland Zoo since November 2022, Elisabeth is responsible for the daily care of several species in the African Watering Hole exhibit, including maintenance and medical care. Previous roles include zookeeper positions at ZooWorld Panama City Beach and as an animal care technician at Rush University Medical Center. Elisabeth also has experience as a volunteer and intern in various animal care roles at Cosley Zoo and Brookfield Zoo. Elisabeth holds a Master of Arts in Biology from Miami University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Lewis University.
