Patrick Cassup

Volunteer at The Maryland Zoo

Patrick Cassup is a dedicated conservation educator and volunteer with extensive experience in animal care and community engagement. Currently serving as a Jellyfish Aquarist Assistant at the National Aquarium since November 2022, Patrick has previously supported animal training endeavors and behavioral husbandry. In addition, volunteer roles at The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore encompass various community events aimed at raising awareness for wildlife. Prior experience includes over 300 conservation education programs conducted for families and schools with Echoes of Nature, as well as contributions to raptor conservation at OWL MOON RAPTOR CENTER. Patrick's educational background includes a Bachelor's of Science in Sustainability from Arizona State University and experience as a Conservation Education Intern at Phoenix Herpetological Society, where comprehensive public speaking and hands-on demonstrations were key responsibilities.
