Patrick Vennebush

Chief Learning Officer at The Math Learning Center

Patrick Vennebush has a diverse work experience in the field of mathematics education. Patrick currently serves as the Chief Learning Officer at The Math Learning Center since August 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Discovery Education as the Director of Mathematics from March 2013 to July 2019, where they led the development of digital techbooks aligned to Common Core State Standards for Mathematics. Patrick also created new content for an Integrated Math sequence used in North Carolina and other locations.

From December 2004 to February 2013, Patrick worked at the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics as the Online Projects Manager. In this role, they were responsible for creating online resources for K-12 teachers and managing a team of staff and consultants. Patrick also played a key role in organizing the successful implementation of the Illuminations Summer Institute.

Patrick's previous experience includes working as a Developer at Education Testing Service from February 2004 to December 2005. There, they developed professional development materials for teachers and achieved significant success with the Instructional Strategies for Student Achievement (ISSA) program.

Before that, Patrick served as the Curriculum Coordinator at MathCounts Foundation from 1995 to 2000 and worked as an Instructor at the Center for Talented Youth (Johns Hopkins University) from 1993 to 1996.

From 2004 to 2009, Patrick Vennebush pursued a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Maryland.
