Jhilya Mayas, PhD, currently serves as the Senior Technical Vice President and Manager of the Center for Public Health Engagement at The MayaTech Corporation, a position held since 2014, where responsibilities include supporting public health initiatives through strategic planning, communications, and human-subjects research assessments. In addition, Jhilya has been a self-employed Full-Spectrum Doula since 2016, offering comprehensive support for individuals and families during various pregnancy-related experiences. Previous experience includes a Vice President role at Ogilvy Healthworld, where strategic medical communications were directed for pharmaceutical clients, alongside earlier positions that involved tutoring high school students in mathematics and science. Jhilya holds a PhD in Microbiology and a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
