Carissa McKinney

Carissa McKinney serves as the Lower School Changemaking and Innovation Specialist at Brookwood School since July 2023 and as the Mazemakers Director at Branches Summer Camp starting February 2024, where responsibilities include hiring and training staff, modernizing programming, and ensuring camper safety. Previous roles include Middle School Science Teacher at JCDS, Boston's Jewish Community Day School, Program Presenter at the Museum of Science, Science Faculty at Hillside School, and Environmental Educator at Nature's Classroom Inc. Carissa has experience as a Blue Hen Ambassador at the University of Delaware and participated in research experiences at both Marine Biological Laboratory and UMass Boston. Carissa holds a Master's degree in Education from Miami University and dual Bachelor's degrees in Biological Sciences with a focus on marine studies from the University of Delaware.
