Jonathan Schmid

Jonathan Schmid has a diverse work experience in the field of education and technology. Jonathan is currently serving as the Chief Innovation Officer at The Meadowbrook School of Weston, Massachusetts, where they also hold the role of Acting Director of Summer Programs. Jonathan has been a key figure in establishing the EurekaLab, a makerspace created in collaboration with the MIT Edgerton Center. Prior to their current position, they worked as the Technology Director/Instructor at Calvary Christian School and as a High School Computer Instructor at Leysin American School. Jonathan also owns a consultancy called Tech Savvy Teachers, specializing in educational technology projects and training for K-12 schools. Jonathan is a board member of METAA, and has presented at various conferences on topics such as Digital Citizenship, Design Thinking, and 3D Printing. Additionally, Jonathan has served as a Media & Technology Specialist at Scioto Hills Camp.

Jonathan Schmid has a diverse education history. In 1999, they attended Cedarville University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Multimedia Technology. Jonathan then furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Education degree in Instructional Technology at Jones International University from 2008 to 2010. Jonathan continued to expand their knowledge and skills in the field of education by attending the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where they obtained a certificate in School Management and Leadership. The exact duration of this program is not specified, but it is known that it will be completed by 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Jonathan Schmid has also obtained several certifications. In 2012, they became an Apple Certified Associate in Mac Integration. Jonathan further solidified their expertise in Apple products and support by obtaining the Apple Certified Support Professional certification in June 2013, followed by the Apple Certified Technical Coordinator certification in July 2013. In 2013, they also obtained the Security+ certification from CompTIA. In 2019, Jonathan expanded their knowledge in technology by gaining the Google Certified Innovator certification from Google and the Professional Collaboration Engineer certification from Google Cloud. Their commitment to education and technology is evident through the range of certifications they have obtained.
