Genise Thomas

Genise Thomas has extensive experience in the insurance and claims management industry. Genise'smost recent role was as the Director of Training and Talent Development at MEMIC, where they were also a council member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council. Prior to that, they served as a Claim Team Manager at MEMIC.

Before joining MEMIC, Genise was the CEO of Claim Assist, LLC, a company specializing in insurance claim services. Genise was responsible for providing high-quality service and reducing expenses associated with various types of claims.

Earlier in their career, Genise held multiple roles at Gallagher Bassett, including Assistant Claims Manager, Claims Supervisor, and Claims Examiner. Genise was involved in overall operations management, policy and procedure development, staff supervision, and claim handling.

Genise also worked as an Assistant Branch Manager at Gallagher Bassett Services, Inc.

Prior to that, Genise was a Contracts Negotiator at AETNA Healthcare, where they negotiated workers' compensation and liability claims.

Genise began their career as an Adjuster at Crawford & Company and later worked as an Account Liaison and Adjuster at Frank Gates.

Genise Thomas completed their high school education at Nassau County/ Hempstead High School, where they earned a Diploma from 1991 to 1995. Following that, they enrolled in Long Island University from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business (B.A). During the same period, they also pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General from LIU Brooklyn, though it is unclear if this program was completed or is currently inactive.
