Harrell Woodson, PhD has had a diverse range of work experience throughout their career. Harrell started as a Research Analyst and later became a Project Manager and Senior Project Manager/Consultant at AdvanceMed Corporation, where they managed and supervised various research projects. Harrell then worked as a Clinical Psychology Intern at Audie L Murphy Veterans Hosp, where they treated patients using different therapeutic approaches. Harrell also held roles at the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services as a Staff Psychologist, Director of Dual Diagnosis Unit, and Associate Director of Psychology. Later, they served as the Director of Specialty Psychiatric Services at Austin State Hospital, leading multiple psychiatric in-patient units. More recently, Woodson has worked at The Menninger Clinic, starting as the Director of the Hope Adult Program and progressing to roles such as Director of Psychotherapy Services and Administrative Director of Outpatient Services. Harrell is currently the VP of Clinical Services and Associate Professor at Baylor College of Medicine, overseeing clinical services and providing strategic planning and implementation for new programs and services.
Harrell Woodson, PhD, completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia in 1987. Harrell further pursued their education in counseling, earning a Master of Education degree from the same institution in 1991. Later, they obtained a Ph.D in Counseling Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin in 2003.
