Bastian Buch has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles in the technology industry. In 2004, they worked as a Software Engineer in Online Marketing at Promarkt Online. From 2005 to 2006, they worked as a Software Engineer/Consultant at TAO Consulting. Bastian then joined Regis24 GmbH in 2005 as a Senior Software Engineer and later became the Software Engineering Director, leading three teams and playing a crucial role in a major re-platforming project. In 2012, they joined ImmobilienScout24 as a Senior Engineering Manager and eventually became the Head of Technology, overseeing the technology transformation for the company's Customer Platform group. In 2017, they joined Omio as the Director of Engineering, where they achieved significant milestones such as revamping the search functionality and launching flight offerings. In 2020, they joined Delivery Hero SE as the Director of Engineering for Core Ordering Product in Europe and Asia, responsible for establishing an engineering team and successfully migrating new products in multiple countries. From 2021 to 2023, they worked at Zalando SE as the Director of Client Engineering Platforms, where they led a large organization and implemented strategies to improve team morale, reduce costs, and enhance productivity. Currently, they are working at Philipps & Byrne as an Executive Product & Tech Advisor. Bastian Buch has also co-founded The Mentoring Club, a pro bono platform that connects mentors with individuals seeking personal development opportunities.
Bastian Buch attended Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Diplom in International Media & Computing. In addition to their degree, Bastian also obtained several certifications. In 2007, they received a Diplom (Media and Computer Science) from HTW Berlin. Furthermore, they became an Advanced Certified Product Owner and an Advanced Certified Scrum Master from bor!sgloger gmbh in 2012. Later in 2013, they obtained the certification of Executive Coach from ELA European Leadership Academy. Most recently, in 2020, they became a Certified Mentor from Mentoring Club.

We are on a mission to make mentorship accessible to everyone, everywhere.
