Matthew Barry

Matthew Barry has extensive work experience in the culinary industry. Matthew began their career at BaxterStorey as a Chef in 2011 and worked there until 2013. Matthew then moved on to Mottram Hall as a Chef de Partie from 2013 to 2015. After that, they joined The Mere Golf Resort & Spa, where they held various roles including Senior Chef de Partie/ Junior Sous and Sous Chef from 2015 to 2017. Matthew then worked at Macdonald Hotels & Resorts as a Senior Sous Chef and later as a Head Chef from 2016 to 2018. From 2018 to 2020, they continued their career at Macdonald Hotels & Resorts as a Head Chef. Matthew then worked at Flat Cap Hotels as a Head Chef from 2020 to 2021 and again from 2020 to 2023. In 2021, Matthew joined Kingstreet Townhouse as a Head Chef until 2023. Matthew also worked at THG @ Kingsteet Townhouse & Hale Country Club & Spa as a Dual Head Chef from 2022 to 2023. Currently, Matthew holds the position of Executive Head Chef at The Mere Golf Resort & Spa, starting in 2023.

Matthew Barry attended Wellacre Technology College from 2005 to 2010 but did not pursue a degree or specify a field of study.
