Chris Olson

Chris Olson has over 15 years of work experience in the gaming industry. Chris co-founded The Meta in 2017 and served as the Chief Product Officer, where they created and sold the vision of the company. Prior to that, Chris was a co-founder at a stealth start-up from 2016 to 2017. From 2014 to 2016, they worked at SEGA Networks Inc. as the Chief Operating Officer, leading the smartphone and tablet-gaming business in North America and EMEA. During their tenure, they established new business functions and relocated the team. Chris also served as a Board Member at Demiurge Studios and Ignited Artists in 2015. From 2010 to 2013, they held various roles at SEGA of America, including Vice President and Director positions, where they were responsible for SEGA's digital portfolio. Prior to that, Chris worked at ohai, inc. as the VP of Product, leading product development and launching a free-to-play vampire-based MMO. Chris also served as the Director of Production at ohai and Director of Product, Community at VideoJax. Chris started their career at SEGA of America in 2003, where they held roles in web development and website management.

Chris Olson has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia. Additionally, they hold a Certificate in Wine Business Management from the Sonoma State University Wine Business Institute, which they obtained in July 2017.
