Director Of Property Support at The Methodist Church

Stephen Hetherington has a diverse work experience in the field of architecture and property management. Stephen began their career as a Design Architect at Gleyson Stewart Architects in 1991, followed by roles as an Architect at Heywoods Architects and Campbell Driver Partnership. In 1996, they became a Project Architect at Wilson Phylaktis Architects Limited and later joined Gibberd as a Project Architect in 1997. Stephen then served as an Associate Architect at March Design Associates before joining IWA Architects Ltd in 2007. At IWA Architects Ltd, they worked as an Associate Architect until 2012. During this time, they also took on the role of Development Director/CEO at Methodist Action, where they successfully managed and developed a government-funded empty homes regeneration project. Currently, Stephen is the Director of Property Support at The Methodist Church, a position they have held since 2019.

Stephen Hetherington earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture from the University of Greenwich in 1988. Stephen then went on to obtain a Graduate Diploma in Architecture from the University of Huddersfield between 1989 and 1991. In 1995, they completed a Master of Architecture degree from the same institution. Prior to their university education, they attended Christ's College in Blackheath, London from 1974 to 1985.
