Brian T. Rentschler

Brian T. Rentschler, MBA, serves as Senior Vice President of Hospital Operations at The MetroHealth System since May 2015, with responsibilities including day-to-day operations for the Inpatient Services Division and managing key performance areas such as quality, patient experience, and process improvement. Rentschler has held several leadership roles within the organization, including Vice President for NeuroMusculoskeletal, Women and Children’s Health and Wellness, and Cancer Care, focusing on system operations, revenue capture, and quality improvement. Prior to MetroHealth, Rentschler served as Vice President for the Cancer Institute and Neuroscience Service Line at Summa Health System, where significant financial efficiencies were achieved. Rentschler began the career as a Management Engineer at Cleveland Clinic, emphasizing labor expense monitoring and workflow redesign. Rentschler holds an MBA in Finance from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration from Ohio University.
