Sara Egan

Sara Egan currently serves as the Educator in Charge of Teaching and Learning at The Metropolitan Museum of Art since January 2025. Prior to this role, Sara held various positions at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum from September 2010 to November 2024, including Associate Curator of Education, Assistant Director of School and Teaching Programs, and School Partnership Manager. Earlier experience includes working as a Museum Educator at the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh and a Gallery Attendant at The Andy Warhol Museum. Sara's internship experiences span across organizations such as Dancing in the Streets and the Museum of Arts & Design, where responsibilities included collaboration on performances, educational program support, and administrative tasks. Sara holds a Master of Education in Arts in Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Vassar College, complemented by studies at Université Paris-Sorbonne and the Vassar-Wesleyan Program in Paris.
