Tess Riski

Tess Riski is a skilled journalist with extensive experience in reporting and editing, particularly in local government and criminal justice. Currently serving as a local government reporter for the Miami Herald since August 2022, Tess previously held the position of criminal justice reporter at Willamette Week from January 2020 to April 2022. Earlier experience includes roles as an investigative intern at Miami Herald Media Company, a news intern at the Wall Street Journal, and a freelance reporter for The New York Times. Tess also worked as an investigative editor and staff writer at The Spectator at Seattle University from March 2016 to June 2018. Tess holds a Master's in Journalism with a specialization in Investigative Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelor's Degree from Seattle University.
