Austin Lent

Art Director at The Miami Hurricane

Austin Lent has a diverse work experience in various roles. Austin started as a PEERS Program Ambassador at the University of Miami's School of Nursing and Health Studies in December 2018. In this role, Austin communicated with prospective students, conducted tours, and provided academic and social support to current students.

In January 2019, Austin became the Art Director for The Miami Hurricane, the student-run newspaper at the University of Miami. In this position, they oversaw the design team, created visually appealing layouts and graphics for articles, and ensured successful publication of the newspaper's print issues.

During the summer of 2019, Austin worked as a Summer Intern at the George Snow Scholarship Fund. Austin helped with event planning and execution, managed scholar information databases, and coordinated the formation of an alumni association.

Austin's work experience demonstrates their skills in communication, leadership, design, event coordination, and database management.

Austin Lent attended Suncoast Community High School from 2014 to 2018, where they completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program and received their High School Diploma. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Miami in 2018 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Health Science degree with a focus on Health Management and Policy. Additionally, Austin obtained certifications from Adobe in 2016, including the Adobe Certified Associate (ACA): Print & Digital Media Publication Using Adobe InDesign and the Adobe Certified Associate: Visual Design Using Photoshop.
