Sarah Chatham

VP, Advancement at The Michael J. Fox Foundation

Sarah oversees the Foundation’s significant giving revenue lines including principal and major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, and special events. In this role, Sarah develops and implements strategies to engage our supporters and the broader community in our mission to speed a cure, helping ensure that the Foundation raises sufficient dollars to fund its ambitious research agenda.

Previously, Sarah spent a year and a half at Russell Reynolds Associates—a premier executive search firm—where she served as the lead advisor to non-profit clients on recruiting and retaining outstanding and impactful c-suite leaders.

Prior to Russell Reynolds, Sarah spent over 6 years at MJFF as the Director of Advancement, where she co-led the Foundation’s major gift efforts and served as a senior fundraiser in the mid-Atlantic region.

Sarah spent the first eight years of her career in investor relations and sales and held positions at Marathon Asset Management, Renaissance Technologies, and Merrill Lynch.

Sarah graduated from the University of Virginia with a BA in economics and minor in art history. She also holds a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation.

Sarah lives in Washington, DC with her husband and two children.
