John Mimms

John Mimms has a diverse work experience. John is currently the Vice President of Development at The Michaels Organization since November 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Development Officer at The Michaels Development Company from August 2017 to November 2021. From 2013 to 2017, they served as a Project Manager at Community Corporation of Santa Monica, and also held the role of Management Assistant - Special Projects from September 2013 to January 2014. Before that, they worked as a Grants Strategist at Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator from July 2011 to March 2013. John gained experience as a Graduate Intern at Community Redevelopment Agency of Los Angeles from August 2010 to March 2012. Additionally, they worked as an Administrative Intern at Transportation Foundation of Los Angeles from September 2009 to August 2010, and at City of Santa Monica from August 2008 to January 2009.

John Mimms completed their education in the following chronological order:

1. From 2004 to 2009, they attended Columbia University and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Urban Studies.

2. From 2009 to 2011, they pursued a Master of Planning degree in Urban Design at the University of Southern California.

3. In 2012, they participated in the Ross Program in Real Estate Development at the Lusk Center for Real Estate at the University of Southern California.

4. From 2013 to 2015, they obtained a Certificate in Real Estate with a focus on Multifamily & Commercial Investment Properties from the UCLA Extension.
