Kimi Lillios is a multifaceted professional with a strong background in biology, design, and journalism. Currently serving as President and Finance Director of the Michigan Synthetic Biology Team, Kimi leads research projects presented at the iGEM competition. As a Product Designer and Primary Copy Editor for The Michigan Daily, Kimi ensures the accuracy and quality of articles. Experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan Medical School involves characterizing a key enzyme in anaerobic CO2 fixation. Kimi has also instructed workshops on biomedical engineering and has a rich design background, including work as a Graphic Designer for SHEI Magazine. Previous roles include Editor in Chief of C Magazine and Communications Director for Camp MAC, showcasing leadership and fundraising capabilities. Kimi’s education includes ongoing studies at the University of Michigan, following completion of high school at Palo Alto High School.
