Ainsley Maclean

Dr. Ainsley MacLean is chief medical information officer and associate medical director for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology for the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group. In her role as CMIO, Dr. MacLean leads a large and talented solution design team of software developers and physician builders. She is accountable for oversight of the electronic medical record and associated care delivery technologies, as well as shaping information technology strategy.

As associate medical director for Radiology, she oversees 80 diagnostic and interventional radiologists and 500 technologists, performing more than 800,000 imaging examinations and procedures annually. She holds several technology leadership roles, including the executive sponsor of the Kaiser Permanente Mid-Atlantic States Technology Coordinating Group, where she is involved in strategy around the procurement, life cycle replacement, and future investment into imaging, surgical, procedural and monitoring equipment, PACS , and other technologies.

Dr. MacLean is a graduate of Brown University, where she concentrated in the visual arts, and the Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University, where she received her medical degree. She holds a certificate in Leadership and Management from the Wharton School online at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. MacLean completed her residency in diagnostic radiology and fellowship in neuroradiology at Harvard Medical School’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, and is board-certified in both.
