Naveen Kumar

Dr. Naveen Kumar is the physician-in-chief at the San Rafael Medical Center and Board Director for The Permanente Medical Group (TPMG) and the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG). He is also the chair of the Finance and Audit Committee and treasurer of TPMG as well as chair of the Finance, Audit and Retirement Committee and Treasurer of MAPMG.

Dr. Kumar joined TPMG as an interventional radiologist in 2007 and has served in multiple leadership roles including chief of interventional radiology, regional chair of interventional radiology, and elected director to the TPMG board.

Prior to that Dr. Kumar attended medical school at University of California San Francisco, where he stayed for a radiology residency and interventional radiology fellowship after doing a year of an internal medicine residency at the Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center.
