Richard Gasperoni

Richard Gasperoni, PMP, has a diverse and extensive background in project management and systems engineering, with a focus on health information systems. Currently serving as the Warrior Transition Product Lead and HAIMS Product Owner at the Defense Health Agency since March 2016, Richard oversees agile software processes for the Health Artifact and Image Management Solution (HAIMS). Previous roles include Project Manager for HAIMS Sustainment at Nolij Consulting LLC and Axiom Resource Management, managing operations of a DHA data collection and dissemination system. Richard's career began with a distinguished tenure as a Commissioned Officer in the US Navy, where responsibility included high-stakes roles such as Strategic Weapons Officer aboard submarines. Additional experience at companies including Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman showcases successful project management and engineering contributions, resulting in significant cost savings and operational efficiencies. An alumnus of the University of Vermont and Nuclear Power School, Richard holds a B.A. in Chemistry and has completed additional, specialized training in naval nuclear propulsion.
