Amber Powell has over 20 years of work experience in the hospitality industry. Amber started their career in 1997 at The Mill Casino Hotel & RV Park in the Food and Beverage department. Amber then transitioned to various roles within the company, including Administrative Services, Reservations Manager, Room Division Manager, and Hotel Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Hotel Operations, which they have been in since April 2023.

Amber Powell's education history includes various degrees and certifications. Amber attended Southern Oregon University from 2016 to 2020, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2012, they attended Eastern Oregon University and earned a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Tourism & Gaming.

Amber also pursued their education at Southwestern Oregon Community College from 2001 to 2008, where they obtained multiple Associate of Arts and Sciences degrees. Amber'sfields of study included Accounting, Office Management, and Small business management/entrepreneurship.

In addition to their degrees, Amber has acquired several certifications. These include the "Connected Leadership" certification from Yale University | Coursera, which they completed in March 2023. Amber also holds the "Certified Rooms Division Executive (CRDE)" certification from AHLEI - American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute, which they obtained in both April 2016 and March 2021. Furthermore, they obtained the "Certified Guest Service Professional" certification in January 2016 from AHLEI. Prior to these, in April 2008, they completed the "Certificate of Completion - Casino Gaming Online" program at San Diego State University. Lastly, in March 2003, they obtained the "Certified Hospitality Supervisor" certification from the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute.
