Tesfaye Yilma Sabo

Tesfaye Yilma Sabo serves as the Permanent Representative of Ethiopia to the African Union and UNECA since November 2018, following a distinguished career within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In addition to this role, Tesfaye has held positions as Director General for European Affairs and Chief of Cabinet since August 2016. Previously, Tesfaye served as Deputy Head of Mission at the Ethiopian Embassy in Beijing from October 2012 to July 2016, and as Deputy Chief of Mission at the Ethiopian Embassy in Washington, D.C. from April 2010 to September 2012. Tesfaye holds a Master's degree in Development Studies from London South Bank University (1996-1999) and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Relations from Addis Ababa University (1980-1983).
