Emily Michael Neal, LCSW has extensive work experience in the field of social work. Emily started their career as a Program Assistant at Family Philanthropy Advisors in 1999 and worked there until 2000. Emily then worked as a Medical Unit Social Work Intern at Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center from 2000 to 2001. Next, they served as a Health Center Counseling Intern at Roosevelt High School in Chicago from 2001 to 2002. Emily joined Mercy Home for Boys and Girls in 2002 as a Milieu Therapist and worked there until 2006. After that, they joined Ada S. McKinley Community Services, Inc as a Behavioral Health Supervisor from 2006 to 2007. Emily then returned to Mercy Home for Boys and Girls as a Manager of Training from 2007 to 2011. Emily also worked as the Director of Admissions from 2011 to 2015 and as a Clinical Director from 2015 to 2019 at Mercy Home for Boys and Girls. Currently, they hold the role of Vice President of Organizational Development at Mercy Home for Boys and Girls.

Emily Michael Neal, LCSW completed their undergraduate education at Boston University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology between 1995 and 1999. Emily then pursued further academic advancement and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Social Service Administration with a specialization in Clinical Social Work from the University of Chicago from 2000 to 2002.
