Marc Velasquez

Marc Velasquez is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in education, community service, and creative writing. Currently serving as the Director of MercyWorks and Spiritual Development at Mercy Home for Boys & Girls since August 2013, Marc also held the role of Spiritual Development Manager. Previous roles include Staff Writer at Chamber Four, where responsibilities included selecting and editing submissions for a literary magazine and writing reviews. Marc's experience also encompasses work as a No Response Follow Up Enumerator for the US Census Bureau and a Photo Room Assistant for the Beijing Organizing Committee during the 2008 Olympic Games. Early career highlights include serving as a Student Outreach Coordinator with Americorps Vista at Northeastern University and directing youth education at the Kolbe Foundation in Belize. Marc holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College and a BA in English, with a focus on Creative Writing, from Boston College.
