Travis Thompson

Travis Thompson has extensive work experience in the field of software architecture and engineering. Travis is currently working as the Chief Architect at The Modern Data Company, where they are responsible for designing and developing the DataOS® platform. This platform facilitates data management and analytics in a cloud-native environment.

Prior to their current role, Travis worked as the Chief Architect at Iterative Architecture, leading a technology services consulting organization. During their time there, they also led a labs organization that designed and implemented a suite of products for a modern, iterative architecture framework.

Before that, Travis was an Application Network Architect at MuleSoft Inc, where they defined and built API-oriented system of systems in the emerging category of application networks.

Travis also has experience with Gap Inc./GapTech, where they served as a Senior Director IT and Distinguished Software Engineer. In this role, they led the implementation of Gap Inc's Merchandising & Planning systems and products, which included capabilities such as global assorting, planning, pricing, and analytics.

Earlier in their career, Travis worked at Hewlett-Packard as a Software Architect and Engineer. Travis played a key role in enhancing and maintaining HP's enterprise support products, both remotely and instantly.

Travis started their career as a Software Contractor with Hewlett-Packard, and they also gained experience as a Computer Science Course Tutor and Teacher's Assistant at Colorado State University.

Travis Thompson attended Colorado State University from 1996 to 2000, where they received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Travis'scoursework focused on Objected Oriented Design and Development in Java and C++. Prior to that, from 1995 to 1996, Travis attended Brigham Young University–Hawaii, where they pursued International Business and Mathematics coursework. However, they did not complete a degree at this institution.
