Shannon C. Smith

Shannon C. Smith has a diverse work experience. Shannon C. began their career in 2003 as an Education and Capitol Reporter for the Tampa Bay Times, where they covered K-12 and higher education as well as state politics. Shannon C. also reported on daily crime news in a high-crime county. In 2008, they served as a Deputy Press Secretary and Speechwriter for the Executive Office of the Governor, where they provided counsel on higher education and budget policy. In 2010, Shannon became the Founder and CEO of Badass Fitness LLC, offering personal training, bootcamp and TRX classes, a fitness blog, and freelance fitness writing. From 2010 to 2023, they also worked as the Managing Director and later as the Associate Managing Director and Wellness Coordinator at Moore. In 2011, Shannon worked as a cycling instructor and strength and conditioning trainer at Kinetix Health Club. Shannon C. was a Master Trainer at Shockwave and IndoRow from 2014 to 2017. In 2012, they joined Fitfluential, LLC & FitApproach as a Brand Ambassador until 2020. Since 2015, Shannon has been a Brand Ambassador for Ryka. Most recently, they became a Regional Vice President at Arbonne International LLC in 2017.

Shannon C. Smith has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida, which was obtained between 1995 and 1999. Shannon C. also holds a B.S. in Communications/Journalism from the same university during the same time period. In terms of additional certifications, Shannon has obtained the TRX Camps certification from TRX Training in September 2015, and the ACE Group Fitness Training certification from the American Council on Exercise in June 2012.
