Dana Hand Evans, M.A., M.P.A, C.F.R.E has over 18 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Dana began their career in 2002 as the Executive Director in Richmond, VA. In 2010, they became the Chief Executive Officer of the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley.

Dana Hand Evans, M.A., M.P.A, C.F.R.E. completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from La Salle University in 1994. Dana then attended Virginia Commonwealth University and obtained a Master of Arts (MA) in Art History, Criticism and Conservation in 1999. Subsequently, they returned to Virginia Commonwealth University and earned their Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management in 2009. In 2012, they attended the Getty Leadership Institute/Museum Leadership Institute. Additionally, they hold a certification from the Association for Fundraising Professionals as a Certified Fundraising Executive (C.F.R.E.).
