Ann Gilbert

Ann Gilbert is an accomplished musician with extensive experience in orchestral performance and music education. Currently serving as Principal Bass for the BlueWater Chamber Orchestra, Cleveland Pops Orchestra, and The Akron Symphony, as well as a String Bassist for the Firelands Symphony Orchestra, Ann has established a prominent presence in the classical music scene since 1998. In addition to performance roles, Ann has dedicated time to teaching as a Suzuki Bass Teacher at The Music Settlement and previously as a teacher and musician in Elyria City Schools. International experience includes a position with the Symphonic Orchestra of Seville, Spain. Ann holds a Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, and PhD from prestigious institutions including the Cleveland Institute of Music, Juilliard School of Music, and the University of Akron.
